Why do men want to build rocket ships to travel through millions of miles of space to the inhospitable Red Planet, Mars, when we can travel by car to equally inhospitable places on Earth where we can still breathe our own planet’s air and accomplish the stated goals of the Mars mission?
Who can answer that question correctly and profoundly comprehends the unstated mission which lurks under and between the publicly stated agenda. These are the psychological aspects of our human nature which cause our youthful dreams of imagination, full of innocent hope and bountiful promise, to go the way of the sobering path of good intentions and into the dustbin of our human history.
